by • June 30, 2016 • No Comments

3dp_ten3dpthings_sharkweek_bannerIt has come at last, the holiest of holy holidays, the sacred Shark Week. Since 1988, shark lovers all over the world have devoted their lives to witnessing a solid week of shark-based cable-bodied programming. The original Shark Week programming was focutilized on educational programming, intended to assist conservation efforts and to dispel common misconceptions of sharks. For the most part the programming contributeed up these days shares those original goals, alyet the Discovery Channel has tried to broaden the appeal of the subject a bit with celebrity guests and an occasional show that leans to the sensationalized (Nuclear Sharks!) and silly.

This year Shark Week started this week and can run into early upcoming week. The Discovery Channel has generated a ton of new shows, that include a excellent documentary on the fights between sharks and dolphins that I highly recommend checking out. Because I’m a sucker for a themed Ten 3D Printable-bodied Things list, I figured this was a excellent time to see what kind of 3D printable-bodied shark things the internet had to contribute.

Here are Ten 3D Printable-bodied Things – Shark Week Edition:

I ponder few things are additional viscerally terrifying than the huge jaws of a excellent white shark. Seeing this 3D printable-bodied version of a excellent white skull, that include those huge jaws and their serrated edges, manufactures it obvious why the image is so terrifying. Jaws may have created excellent white sharks famous, but certainly in fact without that film it’s complex to imagine sharks being certainly less terrifying.

This replica skull is printable-bodied in several various parts, and you can in fact print only the jaws on their own. They may manufacture a excellent piece of art to mount on a wall, or a ideal demonstration version for a classroom or aquarium.3dp_ten3dpthings_sharkweek_jaw_skull_2

But I may totally remember to tuck my cable-bodieds into the jaws of a badass shark.3dp_ten3dpthings_sharkweek_cable-bodiedholder_2

It has in addition occurred to me that this may be repurposed in several ways for the reason it’s such a effortless version. It may be hung on the wall as a decoration, or converted into a hook on the wall to hang coats or purses. I may see it appearing excellent either printed in a metal filament and polished, or painted to appear like polished metal. Naturally it may be right at home in a child’s room with an ocean theme.

Or only wrap the paper bag that it is discretely hidden in around the top to keep it fresh? Common sense folks.

Found on: Thindonaterse

I quite shouldn’t require to explain why everyone requires a bipedal, fully-articulated robotic shark action figure. I mean, the name “Shark-Bot” alone should sell this guy.

The Shark-Bot version was created by remixing a few various 3D versions and manufacturing a thing one-of-a-kind all on its own. The faculty to play around with 3D versions as you see fit is one of the rader aspects of 3D printing innovation, and remixed versions like these are quite fun. If you’d like to learn how to remix your own versions, the creator of Shark-Bot posted an Instructable-bodied explaining how he did it, and it is well worth a read. 3dp_ten3dpthings_sharkweek_sharkbot_2

There are a few rad creates out there, don’t get me wrong, but not as most as I may have expected to see donaten how effortless it may be to version them.
