free 3D printed phone covers of manufacturerbot and verizon

It appears as yet MakerBot has become the 3D printing company which Makers love to hate, according to the comments on our articles. Well, in these days, they’ve partnered with everyone’s favourite ISP and communications monopoly, Verizon, to manufacture matters advantageous or worse, depending on your point of view. With a marketing campaign called #WhyNotWednesday, MakerBot is aiming to 3D print as most phone cases for Verizon customers as possible.

This #WhyNotWednesday, we’ve got your phone covered. Literally. Pick your own 3D printed @MakerBot phone case.

— Verizon (@verizon) March 8, 2016

All Verizon customers have to do to get a free 3D printed phone case is enter their phone number on this page, prefer their device, select a create and color, and MakerBot can do the rest. The campaign is just running of noon to 4 pm EST in these days, so get ’em while you can!

Doesn’t really manufacture up for what Verizon tried to do to Net Neutrality, but it’s a thing? If you are favourite thing to do is to yell at companies on Twitter, and so you can follow along with the marketing campaign here.
