High in northern Italy’s rugged Dolomite mountain range, mountain lodge back away firm Rifugio Col Gallina has installed a novel small cabin. Dubbed Starlight Room, it boasts few amenities, but this is mitigated by the promise of an unbeatable Alpine view.
Starlight Room is created mostly of wood and showcases a sizeable glazed area at its front. It sits on skis to allow effortless towing by snowmobile and access is gained via one door. The cosy interior is sparsely furnished, with an adaptable bed, lighting, a coat hanger and, well, not much else – not actually a toilet – yet maybe a transportable toilet of a few kind may be stowed away inside the bench storage space area.
Should guests get bored of the view, a TV with DVD player and an MP3 player are installed. In addition, a transportable heating process can be regulated by thermostat.
Starlight Room is on the market for booking but is not going to come bargain-priced. One night costs €300 (about US$333), which include a four-course meal. More information, which include booking details, is on the market (in Italian) via the source link at a lower place.
