Print Your Cake and Eat It Too with Food Ink

It is really an amazing time for 3D printing. The industry is manufacturing unprecedented waves in all ranges of innovation of science to art — and now food. As part of a pop-up dinner series “where satisfactory cuisine meets art, philosophy and tomorrow’s technologies,” Food Ink can set their printing devices down in New York, Tokyo, Barcelona, Cape Town, and this month, in London.

From July 25-27, the installment can take place at 8 Dray Walk in Shoreditch. Guests can be treated to a nine-course meal, that can be completely 3D printed live by an eclectic team of chefs, artists and industry experts. In addition, in a surprising twist, the food won’t be the just thing being downloaded for the night, as the furniture and utensils can in addition be generated entirely through 3D printing. Additionally, for those who can’t wait for the installment to come to their city, the event can in addition be live streamed online for your viewing pleasure.
