Recently I got the accident to spend a few time with a Micro 3D Printer, my initially foray into the world of turning a spool of plastic filament into, well, only of anything.
I had lots of fun downloading existing designs of sites like Pinshape and Thingiverse, but some day I wanted to turn it into objects of my own. Unfortunately, I don’t have a degree in CAD or access to any kind of 3D-create software.
Good news: Turns out you don’t require either one. Autodesk’s Tinkercad is a free Web-based create tool which empowers you to turn it into 3D objects, and so download those designs in a printing device-friendly format. Here’s how to get begined.
Step 1: Head to Tinkercad and sign up for a free account via Facebook, Twitter or your e-mail address.
Step 2: The service can immediately walk you through a lesson to assist you learn basic navigation, followed by another lesson which teveryes camera controls, and so on. It’s a excellent yett to go through all of these, only to familiarize by yourself with the environment.Enlarge Image

When you are done, click Design > Download for 3D Printing and you’ll immediately get an STL file you can load into your printing device. (As you’ll see, Tinkercad in addition has versions for Minecraft versions, ordering 3D prints and uploading to Thingiverse.)
