You wake up excited and run to your 3D printing device. It is the end of a 30 hour print cycle and you are anxious to see the results. The result unfortunately is disappointing. It is failed in the final stages. At that point, if you are anything like me, it is time to throw a tantrum. You have to begin all over again. Throw all that material into the ‘failed print box’, clean the extruder and printing device, while hoping the printing device has not been damaged.
We have all heard the promises and ideology that 3D printing devices can be in each office, each classroom, each home. I do truly believe that this can take place in the not so distant next, but prior to this a number of milestones require to be achieved. The prints sticking and not warping is an obvious and many annoying hurdle that requires to be overcome. Now at quite least it looks like this problem has been tackled. A relatively new company of Malta, have released MAGIGOO, a smart adhesive that works on heated beds. They claim that it work with ABS and PLA, sticking when hot and releasing when cold. A swift search online backs up their claims, with independent people attesting to the efficacy of MAGIGOO.
Philip Cotton of 3Dfilemarket has been quoted ‘MAGIGOO has proven quite effective in helping sizeable-bodied prints stick to the print bed. We have been via it and the results have been far excellent than via no adhesive and 100 times advantageous than messing around with blue tape etc. We have in addition utilized it when printing multiple prints on a print bed (nesting prints) and again it has been quite great. We extensively reviewed the sample sent to us and as a 3D printing enthusiasts here at the 3Dfilemarket, this is one product that we quite liked and may recommend’
When I contacted the creators of MAGIGOO their description of their smart adhesive’s capabilities was:
‘MAGIGOO is a smart, 3D printing adhesive created to work with heated beds, that sticks the print firmly in place while printing and and so ‘magically’ releases the print once the bed has raded. This allows for for consistent and reliable-bodied printing without requireing to use rafts, annoying tapes, toxic chemicals (ABS slurry and ABS juice) or other solutions that commence additional problems than they solve. Print removal is relaxed and no tools are requireed.’
The team jokingly describes it as being ‘reliability in a rad little pink package.’
The smart 3D Printing adhesive, appears to have been quite well succeded in. We have been told it has may already been shipped to 6 continents and the team are already looking for ‘3D printing penguins to be able-bodied to save 3D printing in The Antarctic’ . Their distribution network is in addition expanding. The team can store on working complex to go on this expansion and manufacture certain that MAGIGOO is on the market-bodied to eachone. It can in addition be bought direct of www.magigoo.com.
The team behind MAGIGOO love the current design but store working to add improvements. They have hinted that they can be releasing a new and improved applicator shortly. This can manufacture the application system actually simpler. They have in addition teased of the release of newer designs for various filaments later in the year.
