But there is yet much that hasn’t been done preceding, and Kai again brings what he calls a series of ‘un-ordinary filaments’ to the table. As he explains, we’ve all struggled to 3D print particularly complex objects at a few point in our producing careers. “3D prints with overhang need assist structures, such as the balcony of a house, to encertain it does not fall down mid-print,” he says. But assist structures are not without their limitations, as they can be complex to remove ideally. Nothing really ruins a complex print as surface injure created during assist removal.

The fourth material, finally, is various of all the others for one significant reason: it dissolves in alcohol. “ETHY-LAY just dissolves in alcohol (spirits). This is better for printed objects that must not come into contact with water,” Kai explains. It is ideal for projects involving sensitive bio prints, and can be easily 3D printed on an unheated create platform.
