3D Hubs, the online 3D printing service platform which operates a network of printing equipment with over 20,000 locations in over 150 countries, has teamed up with developer Agustin Flowalistik to assist celebrate the 20th anniversary of Pokémon. The hit franchise launched with video games by Nintendo, and has expanded with sequels, TV shows, films, trading card games and merchandise.
pokemon-above.jpgIn honor of two decades with Pikachu and the gang, Flowalistik’s Low Poly Pokémon collection launched on 3D Hubs to manufacture printing them effortless. This project was nominated in the Artist of the Year category in 2014 at the London 3D Print Show. It showcases one-color graphical renderings of elect Pokémon discovered in the games, a fashion which empowers 3D printing equipment to turn it into high-quality figures. You can get your hands on the fan-favorite Pikachu, along with the starters of the initially and 2nd generations.

“The Low Poly Pokémon project started as a challenge. I wanted to try to alter the low-quality graphics the initially Pokémon video games had into a 3D version. I focused this project on 3D printing, as the low poly fashion allows for 3d printing equipment to turn it into high-quality versions and avoid most of the limitations synonymous with 3D printing.”
Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Cyndaquil, Chikorita, Totodile, Pikachu, Lapras and Clefairy are now on the market to order through 3D Hubs so you can find a location near you to print them. Gotta print ’em all!
